About:

Currently, sleep among college students is not up to par with the recommended amount of sleep for that demographic. College students on average sleep around 7 hours a night, which is an hour below the recommended amount. Because of a heavy academic calendar, partying, and other engagements, college students especially seem to really neglect their sleep.
By changing their sleeping environment, eliminating distractions at night, and structuring daytime activities, college students can start to improve their sleep and reap the benefits of feeling rested. Just like students have a class schedule that they adhere to, they should also have a sleep schedule that they take just as seriously. My purpose is to encourage college students
to prioritize sleep as one of the most important tasks of the day and to help them see improvements in their sleep. A goal of mine is that, by learning about the impact that sleep has, college students will be motivated to adhere to these sleep improvement solutions and notice a tremendous advancement in their overall wellbeing.

“At least 60% of college students have poor quality sleep” (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention para 2)

When deciding on a healthy sleep schedule, it is important to note your age because “how much sleep you need changes with age” (News in Health para 3)
